Nintendo Wii Bundles are package deals that include the Nintendo Wii console, one or more controllers, either retgular or the new Wii MotionPlus, along with many additional accessories, Wii games and a selection of other add ons. Altogether, the number of possible combinations is endless, with so many new features, accessories and other great additions to the Wii system.

Wii bundles are an even better deal now that the Wii console price has been lowered to $199. Wii prices are always lower when buying a bundle Wii console game system, because by buying more pieces at once, the retailer can lower their overall price.

For example, some Wii bundles will include several controllers up to four, and a matching number of nunchucks. This way, more than one player can join in the fun as soon as it's plugged in. Many bundles now come with Wii Sports Resort and the Wii MotionPlus controllers, which refine a player's moves. Usually one of the top 10 games for Wii can be included in a bundle deal. It comes with new games like sky diving and water skiing, or EA Sports or Madden sports games. Bundles for kids will include games like Mario Kart and Mario Party 8, which is really for any age player.

Another example, is the Nintendo Wii console with Wii Fit bundle. This includes the Wii Fit balance board, fitness games such as EA Sports Active or Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009. Also included might be additional controllers, and other games like Mario Kart or Wii Sports Resort.

It will be hard to find the same selection in stores that you can find online, especially if you're shopping through online auctions. Even online retailers have trouble keeping these in stock.

Take your time and review the different bundles available to make sure they come with all the pieces you are looking for. Nintendo Wii bundles are really the way to go for a new purchase, both to save money and get started playing right out of the box.

This week, Nintendo releases one of the hot new Wii games of the year - the new Wii Sports Resort, based on the old Wii Sports.

This version, Wii Sports Resort, updates the old Wii Sports game that came with many Wii console packages when the Wii console was first released. Sports Resort has some new games, and also includes new features to take advantage of the Wii MotionPlus accessory, which is an accessory for the Wii controller that provides lots more control for the motion sensitive Wiimote controller. This new sports Wii game includes 12 different sports, including some new ones like archery, jet skiing, sky diving, and sword dueling.

Some of the early reviews have said the new games take advantage of the technology really well, but might not go far enough, because they don't offer a longer experience with the new MotionPlus technology. With the new games like swordplay and archery, the features of the better control are great examples of use of the MotionPlus technology, and also the older games like bowling and golf have been tweaked to make them a whole lot better in this version. Some reviewers though were somewhat disappointed with the fact that technical issues caused trouble, like having to recalibrate the controller constantly by setting it down on a level surface in between games. They also found that not all games, such as wakeboarding and flying a plane, are as interesting as the swordplay and archery games for example.

Some gamers might be bored with more sports, finding that the mini games are not be as much fun, and the games from the old version, like bowling and golf, don't add much. Still, using the new controller accessory means there's something new to try here, and improve the quality of game play. So, at least for practicing and trying to improve your score, it sounds like it's still worth buying. The Wii Sport Resort package comes with the Wii MotionPlus accessory included, so the $49.99 price tag might be worth it (the MotionPlus retails for $19.99 by itself). Right now, get Wii Sports Resort discounted at Amazon, with free shipping, for $46.99.

Our take is that ultimately, it is probably a good idea to get Wii Sports Resort to add to your Wii games collection and practice using the new Wii MotionPlus accessory.

Before it is even released, Amazon.com is cutting the price of Nintendo's Wii MotionPlus controller to sell more advance orders for this new product.

Right now, the Wii MotionPlus is on sale at Amazon for just $18.99, which is a 5% price cut off the retail price of $19.99.
